but I was first introduced to a functional / integrative approach to wellness about 20 years ago. At that time, I was working in hospitals and was unable to practice anything outside of the conventional model. So I started studying and dreaming of the day I could do exactly what I do now.
I earned a Master’s degree in Experiential Health and Healing from the Graduate Institute in Connecticut. I studied the considerable breadth of modalities available which are effective in healing. I finished that program confident in what my talent was, along with a great respect for practitioners of all kinds.

I came from a scientific background of extensive biochemistry coursework in my undergraduate degree, and worked 16 years in hospitals, including 7 years in the ICU. I have always enjoyed using the science of laboratory results and proven therapies to evaluate and transform health. But that is just my professional story…
...I used to be really tired. I mean bone tired, all the time, for as far back as I could remember. No one would’ve known – I did well in school, was class president and employee of the year. I was eager to achieve and do well, but everything was an effort. I could nap on demand. The irony is that this continued even after I graduated with a nutrition degree. I felt I ate fairly well, but eating all my fruits and vegetables didn’t seem to help, at least not enough. When I was 30 I met my first of many mentors who have helped me learn and grow and heal. Now I'm over 50, and I can honestly say I have never been healthier.

I have a passion for what I do because of the results I have been able to gain for myself and others. Have you been told that your labs are normal, but you don’t feel well? Or maybe you’ve been given a diagnosis, but no plan for treatment beyond medication.
